WHY WE CARE....
Spina Bifida affects approximately 2 in every births in Texas. This complex disability appears in the first 28 days of a pregnancy, before most women know they are pregnant. This birth defect occurs when the lower end of the spinal cord does not form properly in the developing baby. Paralysis, loss of bowel and bladder control, hydrocephalus and learning disabilities are among the issues associated with Spina Bifida

WHAT WE ARE DOING...
We provide support, information and fellowship to families affected by this complex disability.
We provide programs that promote independence and build self esteem.
We provide college scholarships and quality of life sponsorship for camp, sports programs, dance & music lessons.
We educate families and care providers regarding this complex disability.
We promote prevention, by spreading the word about folic acid to all women of child bearing age.
HOW YOUR DONATION CAN MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE....
$500 will help a child go to camp.
$100 will allow us to host a parent support group meeting

$25 will allow us to add a new book to our resource library
